ITLOM x CLARE V. Collaboration
Like I remodeled my story27 production offices, I am also rebuilding my “portable office,” too. My Heart’s Desire journey began with the limited edition Sac 2 bag I commissioned from Agnes Baddoo. It continues with my desire for an equally inspiring laptop computer sleeve— something I need and use nearly every day of my life. And shouldn’t something as meaningful as the tool for my creativity and livelihood be treated with elegance and inspiration? Yes, I agree.
So I called my dear friend Clare V.— founder of the Clare V. brand that she made popular with her fun designs of soft leather goods made in an array of vibrant colors— to make my next limited edition collaboration.
This laptop sleeve is another staple piece that will travel with me on my journey of living a creative life with a full heart!
I am so proud of what we created. But more than that, I’m even more proud of HOW we made it.
I am thrilled that all 50 are made from the scrap leather of Clare V’s purses. I love how what would otherwise be wasted or discarded has been repurposed to create something of beauty and value.
And even more than that, I created it with my friend. I supported her, and she supported me— two entrepreneurial women coming together to offer the world something functional and stylish while also being conscientious of our climate crisis and the need not to make too many.
We believe those who will buy it will love it and not need another cover ever, likely even becoming an heirloom for the next generation to fight over. And the cherry on top is that all proceeds will go to the needs of The Writers’ Colony (@fromthewc).
I hope it will be the same for another 49 intentional people.
